Eatin' Cod
Erick has interesting tastes in food. Basically, he likes things spicy, vinegary, and well-done. His favorite snack is
Peperoncinis, which he later asks me to not let him eat any more.
He also really likes
Salt Cod. It comes in a wooden box, and you have to soak it and boil it until it's not too salty to eat. He bought two boxes of it at Race Street Fish Market, and this weekend he prepared it himself. Then, he put it on a plate in the refrigerator.
Last time he got salt cod, I made chowder out of it. It was really yummy, so I asked him if he wanted me to make it again.
"No," he said, "this is eatin' cod."
He fried it with some eggs and had it for breakfast. Oh, yes, and it was drenched in Tabasco.
There's still some left in the refrigerator.
I'm glad I'm over the morning/afternoon/evening sickness, cause this would have been ugly about a month ago.
