Standing on the Word of God?
I wrote a few weeks ago about the Christian gym, and how it would be much better if Christians just lived in the real world instead of creating a ghetto all their own.
Well, I think this is the type of thing that comes of:
1. Living in a sheltered, Christian-only environment
2. Exploiting God's word for profit
3. Really being kind of dumb
Yep, it's Christian shoe inserts. They're scented, they're one-size-fits all, and have scripture printed on them. You can even get them personalized with the name of your Church.
Ok, aside from getting your scripture verses all nasty and sweaty, and not being able to see the darn things because, hello, they're under your foot!! uh, this sounds like a great idea.
Sigh.

Oh brother. The word pathetic comes to mind.
Not to mention that in some cultures they'd never DREAM of letting their holy writings touch the ground, much less be willfully trod underfoot. What does that say to a Muslim or a Hindu, for instance, if we Christians put our holy scripture in our stinky shoes?? It say's we're sacreligious idiots, and they shouldn't respect a word that comes out of our mouths, that's what.
God save us from ourselves...
